Arthur A. Altier, 60,
of Belle Vernon (Rostraver
Township), died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in Mon Valley
Hospital. Born in Charleroi on May 6, 1949, he was the son
of the late Norman and Jean (Hornack) Altier.
Arthur
was a crane operator for USX and was a member of St. Mary's
Byzantine Church in Monessen. He was a member of the
Rostraver Sportsmen & Conservation Association, the Star
Junction Rod & Gun Club, and the Wilson Joppa Lodge No. 714
F. & A.M. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam
Conflict.
He is
survived by his wife, Barbara Krolik Altier; 2 daughters,
Jennifer (Jerry) Manown of Rostraver Township and Jean
Altier of NY; 2 grandsons, L.J. & Coulton Manown; brother,
David Altier of Washington, PA; and 4 sisters, Laurel Bitsko
of Washington, Janice Fretz of Fallowfield Twp., Beverly
Belczyk of Rostraver Township, and Noreen Price of CT.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle

where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
with the Rev. Bonnie Jones officiating. Interment will be
held at the convenience of the family.
Wilson
Joppa Lodge No. 714 F. & A.M. will conduct services for
Brother Altier on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
