Helen A. Axton

 

Helen A. Axton, 90, of Monongahela, formerly of Webster (Rostraver Township), died Saturday, January 16, 2010 in Kenric Manor, Donora.  Born in New Castle on September 30, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Anna (Klingensmith) Stout.

 

A homemaker, Helen was a member of Webster United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and also enjoyed playing cards.

 

She is survived by her 2 sons, Robert J. Axton and Larry J. (Deborah) Axton all of Monongahela; 4 grandchildren, Brandi Axton, Lauri (Rick) Susick, Amber (Alan) Bright, and Robert Axton, Jr.; 3 great grandchildren, Alana Bright, Brody Susick, and Laney Susick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Axton; 3 sisters; and 4 brothers.

 

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 20 at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in the Mon Valley Memorial Park.
