Joanne Billie Pavalonis

 

Joanne Billie Pavalonis, 77, of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township), died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Mon Valley Hospital.  Born in Rostraver Township on July 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (Josay) Frich.

 

Joanne worked as a head cashier at the former A&P Supermarket in Monessen and worked on the Frich Farm in Rostraver Township.  She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and was active in the Mon Valley YMCA.

 

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Pavalonis; 3 sons, John M. Pavalonis & friend Mary Gauden of Rostraver Township, Mark J. Pavalonis of San Diego, CA, and Jason E. Pavalonis of Phoenix, AZ; and brother, George Joseph Frich of Rostraver Township.

A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 6 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 801 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Rehoboth Cemetery, Rostraver Township.
