Clara B. Overand, 95, formerly of Rostraver Township (Fellsburg) and West Newton, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the Westmoreland Manor in Greensburg.  She was born in Rostraver Township on September 14, 1916, a daughter of the late Edgar and Martha (Moody) Overand.

Clara attended school in Rostraver Township and was a member of Fells United Methodist Church.  A homemaker, she worked at several factories in Erie and Meadville, PA during and after World War II.

She is survived by three sisters, Martha "Honey" Markle and Betty Filbern, both of West Newton, and Thelma Higgins of Madison; brother, Wayne Overand of Smithton; sister-in-law, Marjorie (Wall) Overand of Rostraver Township; and several cousins, nephews & nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl J. Overand and Harold E. Overand.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11a.m. with the Rev. Scott Berkley officiating.  Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Westmoreland Manor for the wonderful care given to Clara.
