Alice J. Cunningham Sloane, 86, of Rostraver Township, died Sunday, September 4, 2011 in the Hallsworth House in Monessen.  Born in Donora on January 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Lennis (Greenwood) Cunningham.

Alice was retired from USX, having worked in the offices in both Donora and Pittsburgh.  She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Rostraver Twp., and was Treasurer at the church for many years.

She is survived by her brother, Donald G. Cunningham and sister, Viola Little, both of Rostraver Township.  She was a beloved Aunt to all her nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews, and was dearly loved by her step children and step grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Sloane; brother, William Cunningham and sister, Doris Povirk.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Darrel Evans officiating.  Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Carroll Township.
