Raymond O. Schwartz, 80, of Fellsburg, Rostraver Township, died Sunday, November 13, 2011 in Schenley Gardens Rehab Center in Pittsburgh.  Born in North Charleroi on April 18, 1931, he was the son of the late Otto and Hazel (Petronko) Schwartz.

 

Raymond was retired from the USX Clairton Works as a Riverboat Pilot.  He was a member of the Monessen Ravens and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

 

He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Rodney A. & Donna Schwartz of Pittsburgh and a grandson, Cole Schwartz.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Schwartz and a brother, James Schwartz.

 

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11a.m. with Pastor Ken Sommerfeldt officiating.  Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery.
