Angel Fernandez, Jr., 76, of Webster died Thursday, December 22, 2011 in the Center for Compassionate Care, Mount Lebanon.  Born in Donora on June 26, 1935, he was the son of the late Angel Fernandez, Sr. and Mary (Probasco) Fernandez.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Ann (Evans) Fernandez; and 2 sisters, Barbara Hoffman and Betty Duda.

Angel was a retired steelworker from U.S Steel Homestead Works. He was a member of the Webster United  Methodist Church.  He was also past president and a long time member of the Donora Spanish Club.  Angel was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and loved spending time at Cedar Creek Park with his family and friends.

He is survived by his 4 daughters, Melinda Fernandez-Yacura of Elizabeth, Pamela (Lou) Vaira of Elizabeth, Cheryl (Dave) Francia of Rostraver Township and Jackie (Brian) Schrock of West Newton; 6 grandchildren, Angela (Lou) Swidowski, Megan Schrock, David and Michael Francia, and Rachel and Gina Vaira; 2 great grandchildren, Jaxon and Logan Swidowski; 5 sisters,  Joan Joll of Elizabeth, Stella (Bob) Kesler of Clarksburg, WV, Linda Petroske of Donora , Rita (Francis) Curran of Webster and  Mary Lou Reynolds of Melbourne, FL; and 3 brothers-in-law, John Hoffman of Rostraver Township, Ronald Duda of Donora and Robert Evans of North Carolina.

Friends will be received on Monday, December 26, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C.
