Alfretta Jane Houseman, 83, of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township) died Sunday, December 4, 2011at home.  Born in Belle Vernon on November 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Eva (Usher) Barr.

A homemaker, Alfretta was a former member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her son, Dennis Lee (Cheryl) Houseman of Kinsman, Ohio; daughter, Linda J. (George) Hodgson of Belle Vernon; 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren; brother, Lewis Nichols of Charleroi; sister, Ruth McWilliams of Somerset.

In addition to her parents, Alfretta was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Houseman; son, Raymond Joseph Houseman; and grandson, Robert Lee Houseman.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a  Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Mark Clark officiating.  Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
