Murphy R.
Perrotto, 89, of West Mifflin,
formerly of Fellsburg (Rostraver Township), died Thursday, December 3,
2009 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born in Donora on
August 7, 1920, he was the son of the late Dominic and Rose (Nardi)
Perrotto.
Murphy was retired
from US Steel having worked at the Donora, Christy Park, Ambridge,and
Duquesne Works, and also Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Allenport. He
enjoyed ballroom dancing, was an avid gardener, sports enthusiast
and enjoyed attending picnics and listening to music at Cedar Creek
Park. He was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Township,
the Donora V.F.W., Donora American Legion, and Donora Sportmen's
Club. Murphy served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army
Bushmasters Division.
He is survived by
his loving wife of 58 years, Frances Marie Rudenos Perrotto; son, Eugene
(Gwendolyn) Perrotto of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; 2 daughters, Marianne P.
(Edward) Best of Belle Vernon and Susan A. (Peter) Phillips of
Monongahela; 6 grandchildren, Matthew Pozza, Keith Perrotto, Emily
Harris, Bart Ripepi, Max Ripepi, and Thomas Phillips; brother, Ben
Perrotto of New South Wales, Australia; and sister, Mary Ricci of
Donora.
In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, August Perothers, Ralph
Perrotta and Joseph Perrotta.
A private
visitation and Blessing Service, officiated by Rev. James Bump, was held
on Saturday in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive,
Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934)

Entombment followed in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
