Ruth A. Piot, 81, of Speers Hill, Charleroi went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 18, 2011.  She was born in Webster on February 11, 1930 and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Boyd) Evans.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Aime L. Piot; 2 brothers, Gerald and Clifford Evans; and 3 sisters, Fern Richter, Violet Elsey and Gladys Evans.

Ruth was retired from Mellon Bank in Charleroi, where she worked as a custodian.  She was a member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene and served as a board member; she was also a board member of the Bentleyville Holiness Camp.

She is survived by a daughter, Carole D. Dobeck of Speers Hill; a son, Chris Piot and wife Diane , also of Speers Hill; granddaughter, Lisa and husband Peter Rodriguez and their children, Jordan and Logan of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Theresa and husband Kenny Ross and their children, Kayden and Talia, of Austin, Texas; grandson, Jason Piot and wife Alyson  and their son Dominic of Bridgeport, West Virginia; grandson, Justin Piot and wife Sarah and their son Colin of Greentree; grandsons, Aaron & Ethan Piot of Speers Hill.  In addition Ruth leaves behind 2 sisters, Carol Gregg and husband Gary and Hazel Hoffman and husband Dave.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com  Additional viewing will take place in the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene, 112 Reed Avenue, Belle Vernon on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a Funeral service will be held with Pastor Fred Brucker and Rev. Gary Gregg co-officiating.  Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery.
