Patrick J.
Traynor, 81, of Belle Vernon (Rostraver
Township), died Thursday, December 10, 2009 in UPMC McKeesport
Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh on March 6, 1928, he was the son of the
late Francis and Grace Hynes Traynor.
Patrick was a 1946
graduate of Fayette City High School. After high school, he served in
the U.S. Army Infantry for two years during the Korean Conflict. After
his service, he attended Duquesne University night school. Patrick
owned and operated Paddy's Lounge in Rostraver Township and also
operated other businesses in the Mon Valley, Florida, and Arizona for
many years. He retired in 1990 and traveled the world doing what he
liked to do best; meeting and studying the people of all nations. He
was a member of the Fayette City American Legion Post 484 and attended
the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Township.
He is survived by
his son, Patrick M. Traynor of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Sherri Lynn
(Jeffrey) Novak of Perryopolis; step son, Randy (Tammy) Lakel of Miami,
FL; step daughter, Deidre (Joseph) Manack of Rostraver Township; 9
grandchildren, Bryan Traynor, Christopher, Shaun, Justin and Nicholas
Novak, Amber, Brandon and Randy Manack, and Zachariah Lakel; 2 great
grandchildren, Hunter and Olivia Ruth Manack; sister, Mary Vera (Joseph)
Trenk of Belle Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth D. Traynor on
December 21, 2003; grandson, Jairomy P. Traynor; brother, Paul Traynor;
and sister, Rita Mauro.
Friends will be
received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump
Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township

Service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ronald L. Simboli
presiding. Interment, with Military honors conducted by the Fayette
City American Legion Post 484, will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery,
Carroll Township.
The Fayette City
American Legion Post 484 will conduct a service for Patrick J. Traynor
in the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
