Bertha Ann “Sis” (Evans) Fernandez, 70, of Webster Hollow, died Thursday, August 7, 2008 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born in Webster on July 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Grace (Stout) Evans.

Mrs. Fernandez was a member of the Webster United Methodist Church.  She was an avid bingo player at Rostraver Central Fire Hall and worked for 26 years at the Red Caboose in Elizabeth.

She is survived by her husband; Angel Fernandez, Jr.; 4 daughters; Melinda Fernandez Yacura & John Yacura of Elizabeth, Pamela & Lou Vaira of Elizabeth, Cheryl & Dave Francia of Rostraver Township, and Jackie & Brian Schrock of West Newton; 6 grandchildren; Angela and Megan Schrock, David and Michael Francia, and Rachel and Gina Vaira; great grandson; Jaxon Swedowski; and a brother; Robert Evans and wife Barbara of North Carolina.

Friends will be received in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Bruce Northey officiating.  Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
