Helen (Stulock) Hughes, 90, of Monessen, formerly of West Newton, died Monday, July 28, 2008 in Victoria House, Monessen.  Born in West Newton on January 19, 1918, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Bobik) Stulock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John David Hughes, Jr. on June 4, 2007; 3 sisters, Ann Gannasi, Ella Tedrow and Mary Thompson; and a brother, George Edward Stulock.

She is survived by her daughter; Carol Trembush Gaidos and husband Roberto of Frisco, NC; 2 grandchildren; Ted Trembush of Rostraver Township and Tracy Perry of CT; 7 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Klein officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Newton Cemetery.
