Edward W. Wyder, Sr., 80,
of Rostraver Township, died
Friday, June 6, 2008 in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll
Township. Born in Donora on October 13, 1927, he was the
son of the late Walter and Katherine (Maslanka) Wyder.
Mr.
Wyder worked for USX Donora and transferred to USX Fairless
Hills, working until his retirement in 1984. He then worked
as a Security Guard for C. Harper Chevrolet for 14 years.
He was a member of the former Holy Cross Catholic Church
in Webster, the Donora American Legion, and was an Exalted
Ruler of the Donora Elks. He was a senior lifetime member
of the PA Game Commission, serving as a Game Warden and
working with the Hunter’s Safety Course. He served in the
U. S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He is
survived by his former wife; Peggy Wyder of Rostraver
Township; 2 sons; Edward W. Wyder , Jr. & wife Geraldine of
Levittown and Michael J. Wyder & wife Tina of Levittown; 2
daughters; Paula Trozzo of Rostraver Township and Jennifer
Miller & husband Jeffery of Perryopolis; 11 grandchildren;
and 5 great grandchildren.
In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his
brother, Walter Wyder.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the

10:00 am with the Rev. Ronald L. Simboli officiating.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family
