Barbara K.
(Naylor) Martin, 69, of
Rostraver Township, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 in
her home as a result of a battle with leukemia. She was born
September 18, 1939 in the village of Webster, a daughter of the late
Raymond and Mary (Swink) Naylor. In addition to her parents, she
was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Naylor and Alfred
Naylor.
Barbara was a
member of the United Methodist Church. She was a life-long resident
of Rostraver Township and was a teacher in the Rostraver Township
schools. Barbara and her husband were the founders of Martin’s
Flowers and Shrubs in Belle Vernon, which continues under the
direction of her three sons. The joy of her life was being a
devoted mother and grandmother.
Barbara is
survived by her husband, George A. Martin, to whom she was married
for 48 years; her three sons and their wives, Mark & Jennifer A.
Martin, G. Adam & Kimberly Martin and
Brad &
Jennifer L. Martin. She will be greatly missed by her
grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Hunter, Austin, Mackenzie & Courtney
and is also survived by a loving cousin Gloria Foulks and numerous
nieces & nephews.
Friends will
be received on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in

A Funeral
service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, November 15 at
11:00 a.m. with the Rev. David K. Means officiating. Interment will
follow in Fells Cemetery, Rostraver Township.
