William W.
Taylor, 85, of Smithfield, PA
died Friday, September 26, 2008 in Monongalia General Hospital,
Morgantown, WV. Born in Gates, PA on September 19, 1923, he was the son
of the late Edna Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was
retired from Gateway Coal Company as a long wall driver machine
operator. He was a member of the Church of God, Route 51, Uniontown and
served in the U. S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by
his wife: Norma (Butler) Taylor; son: William R. Taylor of Farmington,
PA; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Wildie Taylor of Fayette City and Carl
Taylor; and 3 sisters: Mildred Anderson of Whitsett, Violet Panczyn of
Rostraver Township and Audrey Snyder of Belle Vernon.
Friends will be
received on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home
Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934)

Uniontown on Monday, September 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS
WILL MEET in the Church of God, 1089 Pittsburgh Road, Route 51,
Uniontown on Tuesday at 11:00 am for a Funeral Service with the Rev.
Elliott Leighty officiating. Interment will follow in Jacob's Lutheran
Cemetery, Masontown.
