Frank E. Sorton

Frank E. Sorton, 88, of Elizabeth Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Born in Elizabeth Township on August 31, 1930, he was the son of the late William and Agnes (Beyon) Sorton.
Frank was a crane operator and retired from USX Irvin Works. He was a life member of Victory Volunteer Fire Company Station 146 and also belonged to the Sutersville Moose.
He is survived by his children; Frank (Alice) Sorton of Collinsburg, Penny (Rocky) Richardson of New Eagle, Vicki Sorton Tyron of Elizabeth, Cindy (Ken "Punkin") McManus of Sutersville, Candy (Bill) Meyers of Sutersville, Geri Williams of Elizabeth and Howie (Lisa) Sorton of Elizabeth; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; sister, Jenny Richter of Elizabeth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet L. (Wiles) Sorton; son, Larry J. Sorton; brothers, Bill and Ray Sorton.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Diane Hobson officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
