The James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc. was established in January of 1960 by James C. Stump, Sr. after purchasing the then Flanigan Farm from George R. Sweeney. Mr. Stump then began to remodel the existing farm house into a funeral home to serve families in their time of need. Located in the rural community setting of Rostraver Township with ample off street parking and full handicap accessible facilities, the James C. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. offers families at-need, pre-need and full cremation services.
After graduating from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1994, James C. Stump, Jr. began serving his internship and is now an active part of the funeral home working along side his father serving as Funeral Supervisor.
Mr. Stump's wife, Geraldine L. (Kopanic) Stump has also been working with her husband as secretary and funeral attendant since their marriage in 1968.
The funeral directors and employees of the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc. remain an active part of the community and their respective churches and work by the motto "Serving God and Fellow Man in the Best Manner Possible."
