John Grilli

John V. Grilli, 86, of Webster died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in The Residence At Hilltop. Born in Webster on April 7, 1928, he was the son of the late Virgil and Elizabeth Grilli.
John was a 1946 graduate of Rostraver High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force, serving in Greenland and March Air Force Base in California. He graduated from California University in 1970 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. John worked at the Fort Pitt Casting Company in McKeesport, Buck's Garage and B. Bodgewic Chrysler-Plymouth Auto Agencies in Webster and retired from B. Bodgewic in October 1992. After retirement, John continued to work part time for Matway Chrysler-Plymouth and Falconi Chyrsler-Plymouth in Rostraver. John was an active member of Webster United Methodist Church, where he was the former Adult Sunday School Teacher, former Chairman of the Membership Committee, member of the Finance Committee, the Administration Council, and Church Historian. He was also a member of Rostraver AARP.
He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Dolores Grilli of New Eagle and Alberta Alonso of Donora; brother-in-law, William Buck of Fellsburg; nieces and nephews; Christopher (Margaret) Grilli of Bethel Park, Cynthia (Tom) Greaves of Herndon, VA, Nancy Zabawsky of Myrtle Beach, SC, Dennis (Linda) Buck of Donora, Bruce Buck of Rostraver Township and Tammy Alonso of Rostraver Township; and great nieces and great nephews; Kristan Buck Ferguson, Kevin D. Buck, Daniel and Eleanor Greaves.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Winona Buck Grilli; brother, Eugene Grilli; and sisters-in-law, Mildred Buck and Jean Buck.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Webster United Methodist Church with Pastor Ken Jones officiating. Interment, with Military honors, will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
