Alice Lightfoot

Alice R. Lightfoot (Clanton), 96, of Rostraver Township, died Friday, September 7, 2018 in AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born in Donora on December 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Alonzo Lightfoot and Iva (Phillips) Lightfoot Johnson.
A homemaker, Alice loved to bake and collect recipes. She attended the public schools in Donora and Connolly Skill and Trade for Baker Assistant. She was a member of the former Deliverance For You Church of Monongahela, Ocie B Johnson, Pastor. She learned to play the piano by ear and played in church. She was a Steeler fan and loved spending time with all of her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen A. (Isaiah) Perry of Rostraver Twp and Lois J. (James) Larkin of Donora; sons, Jeffrey D. (Lily) Clanton of Oxnard, CA and Timothy (Sheila) Clanton of Simi Valley, CA; God daughter, Plumetta Johnson of Forest Hills; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; daughter-in-law, Angelina Thompson of New Bedford, MA; special niece, Iva Jones of Coal Center; her beloved pet Coco; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel T. Thompson; grandchild, Sharon Larkin-Jones; brother, Daniel Lightfoot; sisters, Wilma Lightfoot, Thelma Lightfoot, Gladys Roddy, Dolores McDowell, Ruth Lightfoot and Mildred Medina.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11a.m. with Pastor Pearl Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
