Ana Rivera Griffith

Ana Rivera Griffith,79, of Avon, OH, passed away peacefully on the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on May 4, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Juan and Carmen Arroyo Rivera.

Ana was a 1961 graduate of Admiral King High School, Lorain. After high school, she worked for Joseph and Feiss in Cleveland as a seamstress and later worked at TRW Nelson Division in Lorain. She retired from the Lorain County Auditors Office where she was a Deputy Auditor. Faithful in her love of the Catholic Church, she was a Eucharistic Minister for many years.

Ana will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 32 years, Fred M. Griffith; beloved daughters, Lora (Timothy) Bohn and Denise (James Jr.) Stump; beloved grandchildren, Sarah (Tim) McClaren, Joshua Bohn, Hannah Bohn, Maria Stump and Adam Stump; and sisters, Carmen Torres, Rosa (Vance) Miller, Linda Rivera, Minerva (Alejandro) Palmero, Soraida Miranda and Nancy Bruce; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Beth Vargas; and brother, Wilfredo Rivera.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Road, Avon, OH 44011 www.misencikfuneralhome.com FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO MEET PROMPTLY on Friday, December 30 at 10 a.m. to celebrate a Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Church - Avon, 33601 Detroit Road, Avon, OH 44011. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon, OH.

The family would like to thank the staff at Avon Place and Western Reserve Hospice for their compassion and care for Ana.
