Dorothy C. Branthoover

Dorothy C. Branthoover, 97, of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township) died Friday, March 3, 2017 in Westmoreland Manor. Born on January 30, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Andrew E. and Altha V. (Ayers) Frye.
A homemaker, Dorothy was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church in Rostraver Township, where she was active in the What So Ever Class.
She is survived by her son, Charles (Maxine) Branthoover of KY, step son, Curtis (Joanne) Branthoover of Belle Vernon; daughters-in-law; Helen Branthoover of Indian Head, PA and Laura Branthoover of OH; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Milton Branthoover; sons, Donald Branthoover and Dean Branthoover; and numerous siblings.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Sommerfeldt officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
