Dr. Robert T. ''Bob'' Little, 74, of Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Born in North Charleroi on September 22, 1942, he was the son of the late Walter and Helen L. (Moleski) Little.
Bob graduated from Rostraver High School, California State Teachers College, and West Virginia University as a Doctor of Education. Bob retired from California University of PA as a Professor Emeritus, having taught Math and Computer Science. He loved being in the classroom and teaching students. He also served as Associate Dean of Arts and Science. Bob previously worked for Armco Steel and Fox Grocery Company. Bob served in the U S Army, and was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Twp. Bob was happiest when he was with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betsy Leone Little; two daughters, Bobbi Lynn (John) Daniels of Lancaster and Beth Ann Luker of Belle Vernon; five grandchildren, Devin and Owen Luker of Belle Vernon and Shaylee, Garrett John and Ashlynn Daniels of Lancaster; sister, Hope Little of Chicago, IL; brother-in-law, Otto (Patty) Leone of Mt. Lebanon; niece, Gina (Robert) Symsek of Ravenna, OH; nephew, Otto (Angela) Leone of Katy, TX; great-nephews, Alex, Nick, Otto and Luke Leone of Katy, TX; and other close family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his in-laws, Otto and Angie Leone.
Friends will be received on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Church Of St. Anne with Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti as celebrant. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224 or The Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Avenue, Suite E 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
The family would also like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Mount Vernon of Elizabeth and 365 Hospice.
