Elsie Horan

Elsie J. Horan, 94, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Born in Pricedale on November 30, 1930, Elsie was a daughter of the late Henry and Pearl (Beato) Lewis.

Elsie retired from Brookvale Manufacturing in Monessen and also worked at Zelinski's Bridal Shoppe in Charleroi. She was a member of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Township and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Elsie was also well-known for making wedding, birthday and anniversary cakes for friends and family.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas D. (Lois) Horan of Greensburg and Patrick Horan of Florida; daughter, Linda Shrum of Bethel Park; 10 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Thomas L. Horan on July 12, 2025; daughter, Donna Dolfi; son-in-law, Thomas Dolfi; and siblings, Albert (Norma) Lewis, Dorothy (James) Lucas and Carl (Ursula) Beato.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) https://www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am in the Church of St. Anne with Rev. Joel Sayson presiding. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
