Gail Flower, 95, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Donora and Rostraver Township, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Born in Rostraver Township on September 27, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Grace (Greenwood) Kane.
Gail was a bookkeeper for Joseph Hornes, Donora Tax Office, Westinghouse at Large and Zeffiro's. She was a member of Barren Run Methodist Church in Smithton. She was also a member and Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star No. 205 Donora and the Forecast Women's Club in Donora. Gail enjoyed playing bridge and travelling to Florida for the winters.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Charles R. (Carol) Fowler of Slippery Rock; grandsons, Patrick Robert (Amy) Fowler and Michael Ross Fowler; great granddaughter, Jordan Fowler; and her second husband, Frank Flower and his sons and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert James "Rab" Fowler; sisters, Dorothy Dolfi, Faye Giles and Betty Vizza; and an infant brother, Jack Kane.
As per Gails request, there will be no public visitation and interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Monongahela Cemetery with Rev. Keith McIlwain of Slippery Rock United Methodist Church officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Camp Wesley Woods Capital Campaign, 1204 Freedom Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
