Gary T. Alewine

Gary T. Alewine, 80, of Rostraver Township, died Thursday, October 24, 2024. Born in Greenville, South Carolina on November 14, 1943, he was the son of the late Luther and Ida Mae (Revis) Alewine. 

Gary was a graduate of Greenville Technical College, as well as Pittsburgh School of Avionics and was a licensed pilot for a number of years. He had a zest for life that we are all going to miss! Gary was a business owner of two restaurants and commercial properties in Pittsburgh. He was an excellent businessman and was kind and helpful to everyone. He was a jokester and loved a good party! He enjoyed boating and fishing and going out to eat, especially to new restaurants. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. 

He is survived by his daughter; Maria (Chad) Hensley of Rostraver; grandchildren, Ashley & Jared Morrison, Amber and Jayson; and great grandchildren, Oliver and Nova.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Lois Ann (Trembach) Alewine. 

Friends will be received on Friday, November 1st from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in St. Timothy Cemetery, Smithton.
