Henry F. Valko

Henry F. Valko, 86, of Fairhope, Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital with his loving wife, Carol and daughter, Tracy Lynn at his side. He was born March 22, 1940 in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital, son of Michael and Anna (Glotz) Valko. 

A graduate of Monessen High School, Mr. Valko was a retired heater for U.S. Steel Irvin Works for 37 years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and never missed watching a game. He also liked watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins, and he enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing. He honorably served his country in the Navy for 4 years. He was a member of Fairhope Rod and Gun Club, the Naomi Athletic Club in Fayette City and the Russian Club in Pricedale.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carol (Cekus) Valko; daughter, Tracy Ziacik (Thomas Ziacik) of Cranberry Township; and sister, Roseann Valko of West Newton. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George, Leonard and Edward Valko; and sisters, Agnes Mason and Irene Baker. 

Friends will be received on Monday, September 14, 2026 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
