Isabelle Naylor

April 28, 1913 — December 25, 2015

Isabelle Aitken Naylor, 102, died Friday, December 25, 2015 in The Residence at Hilltop. Born in Rostraver Township on April 28, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Robinson) Aitken.
Isabelle was a life member of Fells United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years. She was also a member of the Valley Art Club and AARP. Isabelle graduated from California State Teachers College and began her teaching career in Webster and later transferred to Lebanon School. She was also a traveling art teacher, visiting the schools in Rostraver Township.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Frank Naylor; four sisters, Anna Wagner, Margaret Evans, Helen Negleman and Jean Rutherford; and three brothers, Robert, Thomas and James Aitken.
She is survived by her devoted nephew, Gordon Rutherford and wife Cicely of Rostraver Township; niece, Diane Chomosh and husband Nick of Oklahoma; and other nieces and nephews throughout the states.
As per Isabelle's request, there will be no public visitation and funeral services and burial will be private.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of The Residence at Hilltop for their loving care and the services of Amedisys Hospice.
