John L. Frye Sr.

John L. Frye, Sr., 82, of Rostraver Township, died Saturday, June 11, 2022. Born in Glasgow PA on March 5, 1940, he was the son of the late Clayton L. and Alma V. (Baker) Frye.

John retired from the U S Marine Corps after honorably serving his country for 31years. He was a mechanic and machine operator and worked for Rock 10 in Charleroi and Hamill in Irwin. He was a member of the Gospel Alliance Church in Rostraver.

He is survived by his children, Clayton L. Frye of New Salem, Dennis M. Frye of Ruffs Dale, John L. Frye Jr. of New Salem, Dianne Caudill of Rostraver, Vernon Campbell of Rostraver, Roy Paul Frye of Donora, Christopher Frye of Lexington KY, Suzanne Frye of New Salem and Darlene Olivio of Monessen; siblings, Elsie Curry of Fallen Timber PA, Dorothy Jean Ross of Moon, Dennis Frye of Plum and Sherry Dixon of Fort Myers FL; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria M. Frye; daughter, Sonya Bergman; and siblings, Mona Jarvis and William Frye.

A Memorial Service, with Military Honors, will be held in Fells Cemetery at a later date.
