Kenneth R. Cekus

Kenneth R. Cekus, 87, of Monongahela, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Born in Webster on February 12, 1939, he was the son of the late John R. and Beatrice (Stangroom) Cekus. 

Kenneth worked for Eastman Chemical Company for 35 years. He was a member of the Victory Hill Gun Club, the Victory Hill Civic Club and the Western PA Corvair Club. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.

He is survived by loving wife of 67 years, Dolores (Pearce) Cekus; son, Dwayne (Joy) Cekus of Monongahela; daughters, Shirley (Angelo) Furiga of Monongahela and Diane (Jeff) Tillman of Florida; grandchildren, Justin Furiga, Ian Furiga, Ryan Cekus, Ashley Skurcenski, Alaina Tillman and Adam Tillman; great-grandchildren, Charli Furiga and David Skurcenski; brother, Donald R. (Mary Ellen) Cekus of Butler; sister, Carol (Henry) Valko of Belle Vernon. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Ludwick. 

Friends will be received on Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jude Urso officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
