Kenneth Lewis Hodge

Kenneth Lewis Hodge, 79, of West Newton died Saturday, July 19, 2025 in AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born in West Newton on April 2, 1946, he was the son of the late Edgar Monroe and Harriet Elizabeth (Lash) Hodge.

Ken retired after 38 years from US Steel Edgar Thompson Works where he worked as a Senior Strand Operator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church West Newton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but especially loved spending time with his family. Ken honorably served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he was awarded a Purple Heart for his dedication to his service and country.

He is survived by his son, Timothy (Jamie) Hodge of Monongahela; daughters, Jennifer (Marco) Tralongo of Star Junction and Christine (Martin) Storgard of Monongahela; grandchildren; Brandon James (Elizabeth) Hodge, Emily JaneAnn (Brendon Lewis) Hodge and Sara Elizabeth Stangroom. He is also survived by his beloved Fiancé, Nancy Davis of West Newton; and his dog and best friend, Oliver North.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Ann (Jones) Hodge.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Nurses and Staff at AHN Jefferson Hospital 5 West for their kind and compassionate care.

Full Military Honors and Entombment will be held on Friday August 8, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery of The Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville.
