Laura May Byers

Laura May Byers, 89, of Rostraver Township, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in Quaker Heights Care Community in Waynesville, Ohio. Born in Monessen on January 27, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Ruth (Whittlesey) Read.
Laura was a member of Fells United Methodist Church and was an administrative assistant for the BVA School District.
She is survived by her sons, William Ray (Audrey Zimmerman) Byers of NH and Richard (Judy Leja) Byers of VA; daughters, Ruth (Mike) Dooley of OH and Mary (James Jaspatt Sr.) Kimbro of OH; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Laura) Read of OH.
In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. Byers; her twin sister, Ruth Amato, and her sister, Sandy Triebsch.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Belle Vernon Cemetery Chapel, 176 Tranquility Lane, Rostraver Township and the Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Vann Walchock officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Fells United Methodist Church, 1268 Fells Church Road, Rostraver Twp. PA 15012.
