Margaret A. Duda

Margaret A. Duda, 97, of Rostraver Township, died at her home on Monday, February 20, 2017. Born in Donora on November 26, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Krall) Marconyak.
Margaret was one of the founding members of the Church of St. Anne in Rostraver Twp. and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She devoted her life to her family and was dedicated to her church.
She is survived by her sons, Chester A. Duda Jr. of Rostraver Twp., Joseph J. (Carol) Duda of Mount Morris PA, and Michael J. Duda of Rostraver Twp.; daughters, Julie (Bob) Malena of Rostraver Twp., Margaret (Rob) Scharback of Shoreham, NY and Catherine A. (Borhanullah) Karimi of Springfield, VA; daughter-in-law, Linda Duda of Coal Center; grandchildren, Charlotte Duda, John F. (Rebecca) Duda Jr., Rachel Abel, Matthew (Nicole) Duda, J. R. Malena, Rebecca (Tighe) Argenbright, Scott Butler, Hanna Karimi, Aishah Karimi,
Sultan Karimi, and Eman Karimi; great-grandchildren, Cecelia Duda, Sophia Duda, Noah Mast, Lillian Duda and Caroline Abel; sisters, Bertha Nungesser of Shaker Heights, OH and Mildred DePaolis of Pittsburgh; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Duda Sr. on January 30, 2008; her son John F. Duda Sr.; brothers, Paul “John” Marconyak, Rev. Albert Marconyak, Steve Marconyak; and Sister Mariella “Helen Marconyak” Marck .
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m.in the Church of St. Anne, with Rev. Vincent J. Gigliotti as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
