Martin Cuthbert

November 21, 1923 — March 1, 2015

Martin G. Cuthbert, 91, of Rostraver Township, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 1, 2015 in his home. Born in Venetia, PA on November 21, 1923, he was the son of the late Martin and Hannah (Bamford) Cuthbert.
Martin was a retired Machinist for US Steel. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon and he served in the US Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Knight) Cuthbert; daughters Audrey (Howard) Laverick of Belle Vernon and Marlene (Donald) Wendel of Bethel Park; grandchildren, Christine (Edward) Jesanis, Gary Laverick, Aaron (Tiffany) Laverick, David (Mandy) Curry, and Beth (Keith) Banks; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gary Ralph Cuthbert; as well as his brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ronald Malm officiating. Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon for the Missions Fund, 511 Short Street, Belle Vernon, PA 15012.
