Melvin Lee Hileman

Pastor Melvin Lee Hileman, 92, of Rostraver Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:41 a.m. in the home of his caregiver, Gary McDonald. Born in Charleroi on May 10, 1929, he was the son of the late James Percy and Aleda (Alberts) Hileman.
Pastor Mel was in Christian Ministry for over 60 years. In addition to the Mel Hileman Ministries, Mel was a guest speaker for the Christian Broadcasting Network in Clarksburg, WV for 2 years and had his own radio program in Canonsburg for 2 years.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Ocie Ann (Noble) Hileman; daughter, Sandra (Albert) Bashur of Rostraver; and brother, James (Rochelle) Hileman of Belle Vernon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Everly; and nephew, David Hileman.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mel Hileman Ministries Church, 10 Upper Crest Avenue, Charleroi, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Curtis Silcox officiating. Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery.
