Norma L. Skraitz

Norma L. Skraitz, 98, of Washington, formerly of Rostraver Township, died Monday, June 23, 2025. Born in Fellsburg on September 13, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Isabelle (Atkinson) Beck.

Norma was a Secretary for the Westmoreland County Recorder of Deeds. She was a member of the Church of St. Anne and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the "Happy Nine Gang" high school group that continued their friendship and card club through the years. Norma loved crocheting and making blankets for family. She also enjoyed baking and painting, was a big Frank Sinatra fan and was a master of winning when she played bingo!

She is survived by her children, William J. (Nina) Skraitz of Fellsburg, Susan (John) Sedley of Washington, Dr. Timothy B. (Vicki) Skraitz of McMurray and Dr. Thomas B. (Shu-Fen) Skraitz of Buffalo NY; 9 grandchildren, Michelle, Tara, Erika, Kristina, Lauren, Cody, Timothy, Dylan and Callista; 13 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Skraitz; and brothers, William Beck and Wallace Beck.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Anne with Rev. Joel Sayson presiding. Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery.
