Otto L. Stricek, 86, of Belle Vernon died Monday, February 9, 2015 in Latrobe Hospital. Born in Rostraver Township on January 25, 1929, he was the son of the late Louis and Julia (Pollack) Stricek.
Otto was retired from Golden Triangle Construction and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local No. 66. He was a member of the Grand Squares and Happy Go Lucky's Square Dancers. He also enjoyed gardening and yard work.
He is survived by his wife, Margie J. (Troup) Stricek; son, Ronald (Marianne) Stricek; daughters, Kathy (Ted) Stricker and Patti Jo (Mitchell) Duda; 11 grandchildren, Larry, Sean, Lora, Natoli, Joe, Frank, Rachel, Mitchell, Rhiannon, Amanda and Nicole; 23 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and sister, Clara Clegg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry in 2005; brother, Joe; and sisters, Margaret, Gizella and Helen.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Darrel Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the West Newton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
