Paul Bennett "Ben" Stork

Paul Bennett "Ben" Stork, 69, of Deep Creek Lake, MD, formerly of Canonsburg and Rostraver Township, PA passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016.
He was born on August 15, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA, the only child of the late Regina Metheny Stork and Paul H. Stork. At the age of five, Ben and his mother moved to West Virginia where he attended Terra Alta Schools and Fairmont State College. After graduation, he moved to Pittsburgh to begin his career. In 1970, he met his wife Barbara, they were married for over 45 years and blessed with two children.
Before having children of his own, Ben was involved with the Canonsburg Baseball Association as an officer and coach of Pony League Baseball.
He was co-owner of Bolttech, Inc. and co-developer of Riverside Plaza in West Newton, PA until he sold his ownership in the business. He then established Forest Enterprises, developed Pleasant Valley Estates, and built speculative homes with Stark Homes LTD in Rostraver Township.
Ben is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Troy Stork, his wife Chasady, and foster grandson of Belle Vernon, PA; daughter, Valerie Stork Marrapodi, her husband Ben, and granddaughter Maci of Fairfax, VA.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Ben's life at the James C. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township, PA (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. An additional visitation will be on Tuesday, November 8 at 10 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at noon. A private entombment ceremony will held at Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, PA.
Ben suggested the gift of organ donation so that others may receive the gift of life and obtain transplants sooner.
