Roy Allen Holliday

Roy Allen Holliday, 53, of Herminie, was tragically taken from his family on Friday, July 17, 2026. Born in Monongahela on April 9, 1973, he was the son of the late Thales Lynn Holliday and Laura Louise (Dunseath) Holliday. 

Roy was a coal miner and worked for Core Natural Resources. He was a member of the West Newton Sportmen's Club, the Sutersville Moose and many other clubs and organizations. He enjoyed a cold beer, a can of Copenhagen and a ride on his Harley. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and sitting around the campfire with family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by daughter, Jessica Holliday (fiance` Nicholas Shawley) of Owings Mills, MD; son, Roy Holliday Jr. of Belle Vernon; wife, Nicole Marie (Petrick) Holliday of Elizabeth Twp.; former spouse, Michelle Dongilli; sister, Emma (John) Davis of Monongahela; special friends in his life, Melissa Thompson and Gavin Thompson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends .

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Diane Holliday, Cheryl Shaffer, Joyce Fine and Lynn "Doc" Holliday; and his beloved dog, Zeus. 

Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 12 to 5:30 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held 6 p.m. with Pastor Sandra Fitzgibbons officiating.
