Thelma Naylor Elkins, 85, formerly of Streetsboro, Ohio died Wednesday, April 8, 2020. Born in Fellsburg, PA on January 19, 1935, she was the youngest daughter of the late George and Eleanor (Greenwood) Naylor.
Thelma was a telephone operator, homemaker, waitress at Lawson's, Rusty Nail and Pufferbelly restaurants. She was active in PTA , Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She was a member of the Fells Methodist Church in Rostraver, PA and United Methodist Church of Streetsbor,o where she taught Sunday School and played the piano.
After retiring, Thelma enjoyed her Rostraver classmates, traveling, family, her Schnauzers and mostly being "Gram".
Thelma is survived by her devoted daughters; Cynthia Elkins-Vansil of Stow, OH and Pamela Elkins-Watson of Akron, OH; grandsons, Matthew (Holly)Vansil, Jarrod Vansil, Brandon Vansil, Ty (Jennica) Watson; granddaughters, Rachelle Elkins Tooley and Jacy Watson; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Renee Davis and Rhett Parker Watson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James (Cindy) William Elkins Jr.; husband James William Elkins Sr.; brothers, Robert Naylor and Harold Naylor; sister, Shirley Bowers.
A private visitation will be held in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a live streamed Funeral Service will be held with Pastor Zack Bohinski officiating. Interment will follow in Fells Cemetery.
