Wildie I. Richter, 82, of Perryopolis, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in Uniontown Hospital. Born in Perryopolis on June 20, 1934, he was the son of the late David E. and Edna (Taylor) Richter.
Wildie was a retired custodian for the Frazier School District, a job that he loved. A member of the Perryopolis Baptist Church, he loved hunting, fishing, bird watching and camping. He loved his grandchildren and was always happy to give a wink and a smile.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice M. (Snyder) Richter; daughters, Lauretta J. “Laurie” (Steven F.) Nemetz of Brownsville and Arlene F. (Charles T.) Nyland of Carmichaels; sons, Raymond C. Richter of Grindstone, Keith A. Richter of Fayette City and Wildie L. Richter of Perryopolis; grandchildren, Stevie L. Nemetz, Loralee M. Nemetz, C. Daytona Nyland, Charlotte M. Nyland, Keith A. Richter Jr., PFC Christian D. (Krista) Richter and Wildie L. Richter Jr.; great grandchild, Kylo C. Nyland; brother, Carl E. Richter of Clarington; sister, Violet Panczyn of Uniontown.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Patrick officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
