William E. Fedorka

William E. Fedorka, 86, of Belle Vernon, died Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born in McKeesport on September 28,1939, he was the son of the late William R. and Thelma F. (Neuman) Fedorka.

William was the founder and owner of Fedorka Sod Farm, the only sod farm in southwestern Pennsylvania, from 1960 until 2000. His job was his life and he loved working his farm and his business. Bill always encouraged supporting the local farmers and buying local. He served in the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Heather (Robb) Jenkins and Holly Braun (Brad Kinder); grandchildren, Hannah Braun (Jake Cloutier) of Montana, Jacob Braun, Jared Braun, and Madeline Jenkins; sister, June Fedorka; sisters-in-law, Jain Sillaman and Brenda (Glen) Fasekas; as well as numerous nephews and a niece.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 1/2 years, Sharon L. (Sillaman) Fedorka; son-in-law, Jeffrey F. Braun; brother, Wayne Fedorka; sister-in-law, Gizella Fedorka; brothers-in-law, Larry Sillaman and Randy Sillaman; and sister-in-law, Caroline Sillaman.

Private visitation and funeral services were held at the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township. Interment was in the West Newton Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Elizabeth Baptist Church, 735 Bunola River Road, Elizabeth, PA 15037.

The family is very appreciative and offers a special “Thank You” to his caregivers, and to the staff at Grandview Estates, OSPTA Hospice, and Suncrest Hospice for their help in his final months.
