William R. Finnegan

William R. Finnegan, 65, of Rostraver Township, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born in McKeesport on February 15, 1952, he was the son of the late William H. Finnegan and Margaret (Murin) Finnegan Hetrick.
William was a welder for the P & L E Railroad and then worked and retired from the CSX Railroad. He was a man of strong faith and was an avid golfer and a great outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife, Christine "Tina" (Piekut) Finnegan; sons, Patrick W. (Donna) Finnegan of Elizabeth and Shawn M. Finnegan of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Victoria McNabb, Will Finnegan, Allanah Finnegan and Braden Finnegan; sisters, Hedy March of Midlothian, Texas, Linda Sherman of Finleyville and Sue Lissy of Glassport.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
