Alice Elaine Bergman, 89, of Rostraver Township, died Friday, May 15, 2020. Born in Donora on June 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George and Elsie (Simonson) Oxley.
Elaine was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company and was very active in her husband's business, Bergman Excavating. A member of Salem Baptist Church, she and her husband enjoyed camping and traveling and spent the winters in Florida. She was an excellent baker.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Bergman; sons, William B. (Kim) Bergman of Rostraver and Mark A. (Leanne Fitch) Bergman of Belle Vernon; grandchildren, Ronald (Stephanie) Bergman, Desiree (Ron) Wozniak, Shawn (Kimi Jo) Bergman and Jennifer (Mike) Domonkos; 6 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Palmer of Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and her brother-in-law, Charles Palmer.
Friends will be on Sunday, May 17, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Darrel Evans officiating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
Due to the state mandate, visitation will be limited to 25 guests at a time with face masks required.
