Sherri Lynnette Lanham, 54, of Smithton/South Huntingdon Township, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, October 21, 2021 after a long hard fight against COVID-19. Sherri was born in Jeannette on August 31, 1967.
Sherri was a graduate of Southmoreland High School, Class of 1985. She worked in the Lawn and Garden Department of the Belle Vernon Walmart. She was an avid karaoke singer and will be remembered for her caring heart, her kindness and her great sense of humor. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Charles E. Lanham II and their two daughters, Krista Lanham (Billy Hawk) of Victory Hill and Ashley Lanham (fiance` Matthew Keffer) of Charleroi; sister, Allison (Ron) Kring of Irwin; brother, Shawn Smitley; several nieces and nephews; a great niece and several great nephews.
Sherri was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Ellen Mortimer Smitley on May 12, 1995; her father, William E. Smitley III on October 3, 2021; and her friend and mother-in-law, Phyllis Lanham on September 6, 2021.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 580 Circle Drive, Rostraver Township (724-929-7934) www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the James C. Stump Funeral Home Inc. to help defray the final expenses for Sherri.
